Are you a diligent and versatile individual seeking a multifaceted role within the automotive industry? We are currently looking for a committed Van Driver to not only handle waste collection but also contribute to various facility maintenance tasks within the automotive plant.
Van Driver/Cleaner Responsibilities:
- Waste Collection: Operate a company van to collect and transport waste from designated areas within the automotive plant.
- Sweeping Smoking Shelters: Regularly clean and maintain smoking shelters to ensure a tidy and welcoming environment.
- Recycling: Efficiently handle and sort recyclable materials, contributing to the plant's commitment to sustainability.
- Furniture Moving: Assist in the movement of furniture within the plant as needed, ensuring a well-organized and functional layout.
- Bin Emptying: Empty bins across the facility, maintaining cleanliness and proper waste disposal practices.
- Adherence to Schedule: Strictly adhere to the assigned schedule of Monday to Friday with the hours detailed above, ensuring timely completion of all assigned tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Prioritise and adhere to safety guidelines and procedures during all maintenance and waste collection activities.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and report any issues with the company vehicle to ensure its optimal functionality and safety.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of waste collection and maintenance activities, documenting quantities, locations, and completed tasks for reporting purposes.
Van Driver/Cleaner Requirements:
- Valid Driving Licence: Possess a valid and clean driving licence, with a proven track record of responsible driving.
- Reliability: Demonstrate consistent punctuality and reliability, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed efficiently.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting and handling waste containers, furniture, and other items safely and efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with plant staff and report any issues or concerns promptly.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in the maintenance routine and respond to unforeseen challenges efficiently.
