Are you a 7.5t driver looking for ongoing work? We have an excellent opportunity for experienced 7.5t drivers to join a renowned department store for delivery driving. We are also welcoming NEW PASS Class 2 DRIVERS, where you'll be based in Shirley working 3-4 shifts per week.
As a 7.5t Driver, your duties will involve the home delivery of white goods, furniture & flatpacks using an assisted Drivers Mate across the country, the radius you will be delivering to is around the 120 mile mark. This is a fantastic opportunity working on behalf of a high end department store, with focused training and opportunity to progress.
The role will entail:
- Working in a 2 man crew accompanied with a Drivers Mate
- Home delivery of white goods and furniture across the country
- Starting from the RDC in Shirley where you will load the 7.5t vehicle and then go out on your run
- Excellent levels of customer service required and previous customer service experience is desired
- In house training facilities provided where you will learn the full role
To be successful for this 7.5t driver role you must:
- Have previous customer service experience
- Experienced and comfortable with heavy lifting
- C1 Driving Licence OR New Pass Class 2 accepted
- Valid CPC & Tacho card
- No more than 6 endorsement points for minor offences
- Experience driving a 7.5t Vehicle
Hours of work and rates of pay:
AM shifts - 06:00 - 17:00hrs - (3-4 shifts per week out of Monday to Saturday)
PM shifts - 10:00 - 21:00hrs - (3-4 shifts per week out of Monday to Saturday)
Saturday start times are 06:00/07:00hr starts
Shift patterns vary and flexibility is key, you must be able to work Saturdays.
Pay rates will be £13.32 per hour for AM shifts and a premium allowance for hours worked after 19:00hrs of £15.32 per hour.
