🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00

📅 Contract: Temporary | Start Date: 1st December – 24th December

 About the Role: 
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Transport Planner to join our team on a temporary assignment based onsite at our client Gist in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, essential operation during the peak pre-Christmas period.
 
You will play a key role in planning and coordinating vehicle movements, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods.
 
 Key Details: 

•  Pay: £14.42 per hour
•  Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00
•  Duration: 1st December to 24th December
•  Weekend Availability: Must be available to work Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st December, with a day off during the week in lieu
•  Training: Mandatory training will take place in London mid-November (exact dates TBC) – accommodation provided during this period

 Key Responsibilities: 

•  Planning and scheduling of vehicle routes and driver assignments
•  Monitoring transport activities to ensure timely deliveries
•  Communicating effectively with drivers, warehouse teams, and management
•  Adjusting plans in real-time to manage changes, delays, or issues
•  Using transport management systems (TMS) and other planning tools 

 
 Ideal Candidate: 

•  Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination role
•  Strong IT and system skills (TMS experience beneficial)
•  Excellent organisational and communication skills
•  Flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
•  Must be available for London-based training and required weekend shifts
