HGV Class 1 ADR Driver

Pertemps Didcot are exclusively recruiting for HGV Class 1 ADR Drivers for BOC, one of the most prestigious Gas companies in the UK.
You will be issued with complete PPE & uniform. The company offer continuous work-related training programmes which in some cases count towards driver CPC modules.
As the HGV Class 1 ADR Driver you will be:
- Delivering product to internal and external customers
- Filling and analysing own tankers and high-pressure trailers
- Carrying out minor repairs to vehicles using minimal tools such as screwdrivers and spanners
- Coupling and uncoupling of motive units, towing vehicles from tankers & trailers
- Regularly working away from base, including overnight working
To be successful as the HGV Class 1 ADR Driver you will:
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be prepared to carry out trunking or same day return to depot routes
- Be able to interact with internal and external customers
- Have a high level of Safety Awareness
- Have possessed an HGV C+E licence for a minimum of 3 years
- Possession of DQC (AKA CPC)
- Have no more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence
- Be able to demonstrate experience of tanker driving
- Have an ADR 'Class 2' entitlement in tanks
- Have a good understanding of EU and WTD tachograph legislation
- Have a high level of personal Integrity
More about the role:
- This role is mostly working within night hours; however, you must have the ability to work on daytime hours, therefore flexibility is paramount.
- Monday to Friday with semi-regular weekends
- Trunking routes may involve being away from depot all week in sleeper cab
- Paid breaks
- Days - Approximate start 06:00am
- Nights - Approximate start 18:00pm start
- Shift length 10 hours (average)
- Attractive allowances for weekends, bank holidays, nights out and several other scenarios
This is a temporary ongoing role which can lead to a full-time permanent contract
These positions are available with an immediate start, following a face-to-face interview, driving assessment, criminal record check and Drug & Alcohol test/medical assessment.
