Mechanic/Techician

Pertemps Slough are looking for a Mechanic/Technician to work in a busy family run garage in Bourne end.
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Job Types: Full-time
Salary is negotiable depending on skill and experience
Key Responsibilities of a Mechanic/Technician :
- Diagnose, repair and service the range of products in accordance with work specifications, ensuring each customer receives excellent customer service.
- Through the use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
- Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
- Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor when required.
- Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with manufacture, warranty and dealer requirements.
- Accurately complete job cards and reports, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.
Key Competencies of a Mechanic/Technician:
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Customer Focused
- Be able to work alone as well as within a team
Experience required :
- Has worked within an automotive technical role
- At least 3 years experience.
- Willing to attend training courses if and when needed
Licence/Certification:
- City & Guilds Automotive (Preferred)
- Driving license (required)
